Nashville, TN – The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded CGS Administrators the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) Jurisdiction B contract. This seven-year contract includes the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
CMS indicates that the Jurisdiction B contract includes 5.8 million Medicare beneficiaries and 15,700 DME Suppliers which equates to almost 19.2% of the national workload. CGS will perform Medicare fee-for-service activities including processing claims received from providers and suppliers; appeals; re-openings, customer service; provider outreach and education; and medical review.
