CGS Administrators, LLC (CGS) — a provider of administrative and business services for the Medicare and Medicaid communities, commercial health plans, health care providers and medical equipment suppliers — earned ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001:2015 certification after an independent registration audit.
ISO 9001: 2015 is the international standard that specifies requirements for the quality management system. Organizations use the standard to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
CGS earned positive best practice ratings in several areas, including employees’ high level of customer focus, improvements in audit and reimbursement procedures, and a strong environmental focus, with its Dallas, Texas office going completely green.
“The audit, concluding with zero non-conformances or opportunities for improvement, is a result of the diligence of our employees,” said Steve Smith, CGS president and chief operating officer. “We are committed to continually improving our overall business process, and this recognition affirms CGS’ ability to consistently provide excellent service and meet rigorous standard requirements.”
CGS has maintained its ISO designation since 2006. TUV America completed the audit in December and visited CGS offices in Nashville; Dallas; Columbia, S.C.; and Springfield, Illinois.
